If definitely Oakville-like firm and youthfull, this fine Cabernet is even more so in its signature display of red cherry, red currant, red plum and mineral fruit tones and in the synergy generated when that fruit is coupled to the vanilla-baking spice richness of oak. The result, in this case, is a wine that is claret-like in structure, with a lean and youthful mid-palate feel, but with fine length and impressive polish. Sauced meat entrees will bring its cherry, currant, earth and vanilla flavors into the foreground, but cellaring will be needed to fully reveal all classy this bottlling has to offer. |
