Vineyards Krupp Vineyard. At over 1400 feet above sea level, Krupp Vineyard rests just
above Stag’s Leap. The red and rocky soils are planted to various clones of
Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Merlot and Malbec. The combination of these
varietals yields a wine of immense character, complexity and suppleness.
Vintage 2004 The 2004 vintage endured precipitous heat spikes that had to be weathered
successfully to achieve long hang time, which resulted in complex delicious

found only in great years.

cranberries. Complemented by dark spices and lead-pencil nuances with a hint
of cedar and leather. The palate has abundant rich, ripe succulent fruit which
gives this wine real fl eshiness. A full and focused mid-palate mingles with dusty
tannins resulting in a long and intriguing fi nish. Excellent with braised short
