5% Semillon. A quick whiff of matchstick in the nose is but a momentary distraction here, and the wine comes through with a nice measure of mildly melony fruit that is enriched by lightly laid-on oak while herbaceousness is held to a minimal whisper. Nicely balanced, rounded in feel and moderately full in body, this bottling makes up in richness for what it may lack in specific varietal character, and it will be equally at home with poultry or meaty fish.
